Between You and Me
Between You and Me is our 2014 award winning graduation film.
Together with Henry Brummelman and Quentin Haberham, we made a short film combining all our own specialistic disciplines.
Where Henry as a stop-motion expert build a miniature set and clay models of the characters, and Quentin directed the animation procedures, me myself was responsible for building and integrating all CGI aspects.
Client: HKU (Graduation film)
Role: CGI Supervisor & 3D Generalist
Year: 2013- 2014
Statistics: Over 10 nominations and awards in multiple animation disciplines
Stop-motion meets CGI
Since our team consisted of tree animators coming from very different technical schools, we had a lot of fun combining our insights to produce our own unique style for a short film.
We managed to combine all the best parts of Stop-motion, character animation and CGI to build our film from start to finish.
Collaboration is key
Apart from the 3 headed team we started with, we had a lot of help in both material and experience from a multitude of animation professionals we came to know as fiends too.
For instance:
One of our class mates and friends was building tooling for rigging, witch we gladly corporate with to test and use in our production.
presented all over the world
After completing our film, we were privileged to be presented in many different countries over a large variety of media, from animation festivals in eastern Europe to tv-channels in New York. Between You and Me has been all over the world.
